Tell Me Something Good #16
Seminole Heights Volunteers Bike Meals to Local Residents
Many restaurants in Seminole Heights have been losing business during the COVID-19 pandemic. A group of volunteers, known as the Heights Citizens Bicycle Brigade, has taken it upon themselves to support these local businesses. Brigade members are delivering take out orders free of charge to community residents.
Brenton Wiernik, a bicyclist in the Brigade, explains his participation, saying, “This was a great opportunity to be active while helping out our neighborhood.” Wiernik sees the group’s service as a way to help keep others at home and restaurants in business. Even if a thankful customer tries to pay beyond the amount for their food, delivery bicyclists give that tip to the restaurant.
Thank you, Heights Citizens Bicycle Brigade, for your service!
